A series of iterative studies of joinery were fabricated as digital and physical models. By utilizing computational design methodologies via Autodesk Maya and Grasshopper for Rhinoceros, in combination with fabrication techniques including CNC routing and 3D printing, the joinery is perceived as both a connective structural system and an autonomous object. The Burr Puzzle joint, with interlocking notched parts to be assembled as one symmetrical unit, was used as a precedent for exploration and transformation.
